SARAJEVO, January 27, 2017 – The winners of the 2016 Balkan Photo Award (BPA) were announced to a packed audience at Sarajevo City Hall today. BPA contest is held as part of the Balkan Photo Festival (BPF). A jury panel consisting of as many as 12 members: Myles Little (US, jury chair), Ilvy Njiokiktjien (NL), Srđan Živulović (SLO), Petar Jurica (CRO), Goran Lizdek (BiH), Daniel Mihailescu (RO), Srđan Ilić (SRB), Boryana Katsarova (BUL), Majlinda Hoxha (KV), Ljiljana Karadžić (MNE), Ana Farngovska (MKD) and Ferhat Uludaglar – Zupčević (TUR), has selected the BPA winners in 11 categories:
Canon Grand Prix Award – the overall contest winner and the winner in the category “Daily life”: Jelena Janković for her photograph “Selfie kultura”. Jelena received a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV dSLR camera, a gift from our general sponsor, Canon Bosnia and Herzegovina. 
HanShun Zhou is the winner in the “Creative photography” category and the winner of a special Festival recognition. HanShun was awarded for his photograph “Frentic city” with a Canon EOS 80D dSLR, a gift from our golden sponsor AvteraBH.
