Festival organizers in cooperation with the general sponsor Canon Bosnia and Herzegovina have managed to secure the most lucrative awards so far for the Balkan Photo Award winners.
“Increasing the value of contest awards is yet another way we are elevating the festival into a successful regional project” – said the Organizer.
The first award for the most successful photograph (individual category) i.e. the Festival’s Grand Prix is the dSLR camera Canon EOS 5DS R.
The award list also contains five cameras Canon EOS M10 with 15-45mm lenses. According to the current market values, the value of all Festival awards is over 12.000 KM (6,000 EUR).
In addition, an award from Sony, a Sony RX100 IV, is provided in the value of around 1250 EUR.
All photographers without any territorial, professional or other limits can apply for the participation at the Balkan photo Award contest.
Canon EOS M10
The jury composed of 13 photographers will select 10 of the best photographs in each category for a total of 60 photographs, and each category will have a respective winner.
The announcement of the best photographs will be held on 29th of January 2016 in Sarajevo at a ceremony in the City Hall, after which the rest of the Festival program is to take place.
