Days three and four at BPF program: Igor Nobilo, Pixsell, photo exhibition “Pravda za svako dijete” – Justice for every child.

Day three of the Balkan Photo Festival will be held in the BiH Art Gallery and will start at 12PM with a presentation and a conversation with our colleagues from the Pixsell.hr agency about the their work methods and a general overview of the photojournalist scene in the region.

Following this event Igor Nobilo will present the project “Future in the Photo Tourism” at 1PM, during which all those interested in linking their photography work and touristic tours can get together and exchange their ideas.

What is photo tourism, what are its prerequisites, what are the possibilities? Do you like to know more and would maybe get involved? Igor Nobilo, founder of Croatia Photo Tour, gives answers to all these questions and introduces us to how he started with photo tourism.

Following Nobilo’s presentation there will be Canon gear presentation for everyone and yes, you can personally test all the newest Canon cameras and lenses.

Plakat_unicefThe Festival will be officially closed on Monday, January 30, 2017 with a photo exhibition “Justice for every child” at the Sarajevo Cathedral square, starting from 12PM. The exhibition is organized in cooperation with UNICEF Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The authors of the exhibited photographs are residents of institutions for children in conflict with the law in 2016. Photographs are the result of workshops organized within the UNICEF‘s project “Justice for Children” supported by the Government of Switzerland and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). Association Urban has conducted photographic workshops for children and older juveniles in institutions in Banja Luka and Tuzla from June to September 2016. The workshops are organised in order to provide the support to services in these institutions as well as to empower individual work with children who are serving a sentence. The workshops were aimed to provide an opportunity for children to express themselves photographically and so that they can learn photographic techniques and use it in their future.

This will mark the official ending of this year’s Festival program.
